The journey
Adventure Iran
tehran · alamut valley · kashan · varzaneh · sarein
No deposit, no card — you pay when you're in Iran and everything is agreed.

Summit a volcano, cross a desert, and climb out of your comfort zone.
Twelve days for people who would rather walk it than look at it. Hike up through the Alamut valley to the Castle of the Assassins in the Alborz, cross the white dunes and salt flats around Varzaneh, and finish in the thermal springs at Sarein — with Kashan's courtyards and Tehran's bazaars for the days in between. Moderate fitness is enough; the hard parts are optional.
