Part guesthouse and part hostel, on Parvin Etesami Street: private doubles and triples alongside eight-bed rooms, kept separate for women and men, some with their own bathroom and some sharing. There are balcony rooms and a cheaper economy grade. Sociable and inexpensive.

Quadruple
Four rooms in an alley off Bid Abadi Street, in the quarter named after the Ali Qoli Aqa mosque and its eighteenth-century bathhouse. Two of the four, one in the basement and one at ground level, share a bathroom and toilet; the other two do not. Small and plain, and genuinely in the old town.
Apartment One-bedroom Double
Nine rooms on Sepah Street at the Hakim Street corner, apartment units among them. One star, in the thick of the old commercial centre between the bazaar and Naqsh-e Jahan.
Opposite the Hazrat Zeynab shrine, in a cul-de-sac off the shrine street and well away from the tourist axis. Four room types, all of them for three or four people and sold in numbered grades from one to four, with a VIP one-bedroom suite at the top. There are no singles or doubles here at all.
