A seven-room three-star on Kamal Esmaeil Street, between Si-o-se Pol and the Ferdowsi bridge, with river walks in both directions from the door. Rooms sleep one to five.
A traditional house in an alley off Mirdamad Street, just past the small Shaterbashi bazaar. Rooms carry names rather than numbers, Sina, Sepanta, Saba, Yalda and Anahita among them, and the largest is a six-bed shah-neshin, the raised alcove where a household once received guests. Several rooms are also sold in a cheaper grade.

A one-star budget hotel down a side alley off Neshat Street, in the dense old quarter east of Chaharbagh. Seven rooms covering singles through to five beds, which makes it one of the easier cheap options for a family. Expect simple rooms; the location is the point.
