Sanandaj, Hauptstadt der Provinz Kurdistan im westlichen Zagros, ist das kulturelle Herz des iranischen Kurdistan – seit 2019 UNESCO-Kreativstadt der Musik, berühmt für die Rahmentrommel Daf und den kurdischen Gesang.
