Ihr Herzstück ist der Komplex der Jameh-Moschee aus dem frühen 14. Jahrhundert, errichtet um den Sufi-Schrein von Sheikh Abd al-Samad al-Isfahani – eines der erlesensten erhaltenen Ensembles mongolisch-ilchanidischer Architektur im Iran. Der umliegende Bezirk birgt Lehmdörfer in den Bergen (allen voran Abyaneh), einen sasanidischen Feuertempel, safawidische Karawansereien und mit Arisman eine der ältesten Kupferverhüttungsstätten der Welt. Jameh Mosque & Shrine of Abd al-Samad (Sheikh Abdolsamad complex)

1,500-year-old red-mud terraced village in a green Karkas valley, ~40 km NW. One of Iran's most beautiful and best-preserved villages, with reddish adobe stepped houses, lattice windows and residents who still wear traditional costume; home to the Achaemenid/ancient Harpak fire temple.

Four-arched Sasanian fire temple behind the Jameh Mosque. A rare surviving Zoroastrian chahar-taqi that shows the pre-Islamic religious layer of Natanz, standing just behind the medieval mosque in the Imam Jomeh garden.
