Tehran
A one-star on South Saadi Street in the budget strip below Imam Khomeini Square. Five room types, of which three, a single, a double and a triple, have no private bathroom or toilet; the other two do. Worth choosing deliberately rather than by price alone.

An unclassified hotel in Moattar Alley off 15 Khordad Street, the main artery of the Grand Bazaar, so the market is genuinely at the door and the area empties at night. Five room types, from a single to a five-bed.
